SINOPEC Engineering Incorporation (SEI in abbreviation) is a subsidiary of China Petrochemical Corporation and a global engineering company engaging in feasibility study, technical consultation, geo-technical investigation, engineering, procurement, construction management & supervision, EPC contracting, project management, technical services . SEI was ranked no.58 among the 200 leading engineering companies in 2004 announced by ENR (Engineering News Record).

SEI is qualified to be involved in national Class A engineering projects with certificates as follows: Class A certificate for engineering, Class A certificate for engineering survey, Class A certificate for cost estimate, Class A certificate for project consultation, Class A certificate for environmental impact assessment, Class A certificate for Invitation to Bid as well as Class A certificate for fixed capital Investigation in industry and commercial fields. Quality system based on ISO 9001 version 2000 has been established and the Certificate for ISO 9001 version 2000 has been granted.

Established for 50 years, SEI has been devoted itself to the setting up,innovation and development of petrochemical industries. Super size refineries and petrochemical complexes undertaken by SEI are all over China. Through which, core technologies for fluid catalytic cracking, continuous reforming, hydrocracking, ethylene furnace, ethylene, polypropylene, etc. have been developed. By 2004, SEI owned 66 patents and 82 proprietary technologies . A total of 13 specialized technical centers in petrochemical industry stand in SEI.
